And if a dragon accidentally eats spicy salsa - oh, boy. you're in red-hot trouble.

The Seven Silly Eaters: Peter wants only milk, Lucy won't settle for anything less than homemade lemonade, and Jack is stuck on applesauce. Each new addition to the household brings a new demand for a special meal. What's a mother to do? Delightful rhyming text and lively illustrations tell the hilarious story of a family of picky eaters. 

Stretchy McHandsome: Stretchy McHandsome is not only good looking with his ginger fur, but he has personality that shines as well. Leaving the safety of the McHandsome clan, he stretches himself away from home and all around town. Out and about, he is spotted by a girl with a kindred spirit, who makes him realize the one thing missing from his life is the warm lap of a loving person. How this gadabout finds his true girl makes for a story that is a little bit wild, but a whole lot wonderful.

Stellaluna: Knocked from her mother’s safe embrace by an attacking owl, Stellaluna lands headfirst in a bird’s nest. This adorable baby fruit bat’s world is literally turned upside down when she is adopted by the occupants of the nest and adapts to their peculiar bird habits. Two pages of notes at the end of the story provide factual information about bats.

The Umbrella: A walk through the Costa Rican cloud forest provides a wonderfully lush setting for Jan Brett's beloved animal illustrations. When Carlos drops his umbrella to climb a tree for a better view of the animals, they all cram into the banana-leaf umbrella as it floats by--from the little tree frog to the baby tapir to the big jaguar and more. It gets so crowded in the umbrella that there isn't even enough room for a little hummingbird! So over the umbrella tumbles, everyone falls out, and poor Carlos comes back wondering why he didn't see any animals all day.

Wilfrid: Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there lived a humongous and hairy giant named Wilfred. Whenever people saw him, they ran away, which made life very lonely for Wilfred. That is, until he found himself in a rather unusual town where one brave little boy saw something special in the timid giant. So begins a story of friendship and sacrifice that will remind readers just how important one voice – no matter how small – can be.

The Snail and the Whale: When a tiny snail meets a humpback whale, the two travel together to far-off lands. It's a dream come true for the snail, who has never left home before. But when the whale swims too close to shore, will the snail be able to save her new friend?

Those Darn Squirrels!:  Old Man Fookwire is a grump. The only thing he likes to do is paint pictures of the birds that visit his backyard. The problem is, they fly south every winter, leaving him sad and lonely. So he decides to get them to stay by putting up beautiful bird feeders filled with seeds and berries. Unfortunately, the squirrels like the treats, too, and make a daring raid on the feeders. The conflict escalates--until the birds depart (as usual), and the squirrels come up with a plan that completely charms the old grump.

The first book will ship within a week after the order is placed. The rest of the books in the subscription will ship close to this same date every month.

If you would like to delay the start of the subscription, you may elect a later date on the checkout page.

Every time a book is shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. You will know exactly when every single book is received by the recipient.

How will the recipient know the length of the subscription?

A card is included in the first book with information about the gift, including the terms of the subscription.

Can I make changes to the book selections after the subscription is ordered?

We will happily assist you swap out any books that have not yet been shipped. Please submit your request through the Contact Us form.

Do subscriptions automatically renew?

No, we never renew subscriptions or charge your card after you place your initial order. We will alert you when the subscription has ended. If you would like to continue the service, you may place another order on the website.

Can I cancel the subscription before it is over?

No, we do not allow cancelations due to the highly customized service we provide. We will, however, work with you to tweak the book selections if reading preferences change.

Can siblings share a subscription?

Absolutely! Just remember to add extra lollipops.

Are there any options instead of lollipops?

Yes. You can choose to add stickers in lieu of lollipops. Each book will come with four 2"-3" stickers that can be used to decorate the inside covers of the books, water bottles, laptops, or any other object.

What if the child already has a book in the subscription?

While we cannot support returns or exchanges, we will gladly work with you before the books are sent. For example, if you would like to swap out a particular book, just submit a request through the Contact Us page.

Does The Lollipop Book Club ship to Canada?

No, we only ship within the United States.
